Born From Water

Born From Water

We are here to describe the magical journey of an Australian opal, born from water.

In the heart of Australia lays a flourish of opal bearing grounds. Long ago, gentle rains caressed the parched land, their delicate drops weaving a melody of renewal. These sacred waters, infused with whispers of the past and dreams of the future, seeped deep into an ancient Australian underground geothermal freshwater system, now called the Great Artesian Basin. Time, immense pressure and a ground abundant in silica and water, (lucky for us) is the miracle recipe for color magic.

With only a matter of 60 odd million years, the cradled embrace of sandstone and water molecules engaging in an atomic dance with silica molecules. And voila, opal!
Other minerals like iron and manganese thrown into the magical mix will result a deepening of body color. The subterranean alchemy sculpted a treasure like no other—a Black Opal, born from water, kissed by ancient oceans and bathed in the glow of celestial light.

Today, with a turn of the miner’s pick and a couple cautious brushes of dust, vision of opal emerged—a mesmerizing gemstone. Ablaze with colors that rival the most stunning sunsets or blues of the ocean. Even the fiery reds and oranges of the Australian Outback. All colors that dance ceremoniously within this tiny rainbow world.

Thus, the Australian opal, born from water, carries the essence of nature's timeless dance—a radiant testament to the beauty and wonder of the world below, waiting to be discovered and cherished by those who seek its magic.
